Our Mission

Friends of Seattle Mombasa Schools is driven by a single goal:

To change lives in both Seattle and in Kenya -
One child, one school, and one community at a time.

We bring together schools in Seattle, Washington and in Mombasa, Kenya so that each community can know and learn from the other. Through personal relationships between teachers, administrators, families, and students, we make our world a far smaller place.

Our Seattle donors provide vital educational assistance, scholarships, needed infrastructure, and support for health and hygiene to a small number of Catholic school parishes in the archdiocese of Mombasa. Most importantly, our schools and donors forge irreplaceable bonds across the miles. These relationships are at the heart of our mission, and change lives both in Seattle and in Kenya.
